Song Of The Day: The Resolution By Jack's Mannequin

Jack's Mannequin is a piano rock band that originated as a side project for Andrew McMahon, originally from Something Corporate. The band was formed in 2004. In June of that year, McMahon was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, but made a full recovery. The video for Resolution was written and directed by Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight series.

The Lost Yearbook

Artist Laurie Munn found a 1965 high-school yearbook set out with the trash ..... a yearbook which, it later turned out, may have belonged to a man who died, possibly of an AIDS-related suicide.
She took it, and ended up painting portraits of each of the graduating seniors based on their yearbook photos. Not only that, but she's seeking out the graduates themselves for interviews. Fascinating.

Each month I am going to ponder and reflect on the things that bring me joy. I often refer to myself as a girl that enjoys the simplest pleasures in life and when I engage in these pleasures I am a better person. I think it is important to take stock of the things in your life which are fabulous & delightful. If you do it regularly, it starts to become a way of thinking ...... you recognize and feel that your life is already full of joy & wonder.

She has released more than ten albums and appeared on numerous soundtracks. Her soundtrack performances have led to further popularity, including the Grammy-winning "O Brother, Where Art Thou? "soundtrack, an album also credited with raising American interest in bluegrass, and the "Cold Mountain" soundtrack, which led to her performance at the 2004 Academy Awards.
During her career she has won 21 Grammy Awards—more than any other female artist and tied for seventh-most among all artists—along with numerous other awards.
"That kind of love" was featured during an episode of Buffy The Vampire and her voice is as sweet as honey.

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Buttons

Over the holidays I ventured out to see the David Fincher flick, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and I savored all 2 hours and 46 minutes. It is truly a magical movie that touched me deeply.
Apparently, Eric Roth's screenplay bears little resemblance to the F. Scott Fitzgerald story on which it's based, and that works just fine.
