My Thoughts On Lost

It feels like everything is starting to come together on Lost, and we're getting closer to the action-packed season finale.

I thought it was funny it was the first hundred for Obama and the first hundred for lost on the same night

Widmore, Daniel's father...who knew? And once again.....more daddy issues.

Penny's got a "brutha!"

I loved how Daniel told Eloise that he would make more time.

It was amusing when Hurley realizes they were in 1954, "Like Fonzie times."

I felt so bad for Daniel. He wanted his Mom to be proud of him. I wanted to cry when she shot him and he said, "You knew, you always knew. You knew this was going to happen and you sent me here anyway." He goes to the island because she said it would make her proud.

Who or what was Eloise willing to sacrifice her son for? The island? Jacob? Time will tell...

Where is Ben in all this future?

How did surgeon Jack learn to shoot so well? "I'll cover you"? Really?

They should be hired to make the trailer for the inevitable box set. Which is exactly what this video made me want to do.......hunker down for a marathon of Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and Kill Bill I & II.

Hang on in the beginning, it picks up steam.

The Hollywood Wax Museum is selling more than 200 wax figures, props and original costumes. They range from life-size versions of The Fonz and the Three Stooges to an original Freddy Krueger outfit.

It appears the museum is updating its inventory, because several of the items come from the '80s...... a Thriller-era Michael Jackson, Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice, Arsenio Hall, Mr. T and Macaulay Culkin are all being discarded in the sale.

What Finger Are You

Why am I not surprised by my results?

You Are the Middle Finger

A bit fragile and dependent on your friends, you're not nearly as hostile as you seem.

You are balanced, easy to get along with, and quite serious.

However, you can get angry and fed up with those around you. And you aren't afraid to show it!

Susan Boyle Gets Makeover

I became euphorically high when I witnessed this lady stun the masses as she became an internet success. I love flawed characters. It is their flaws that endears me to them and once again I am pondering....."Why does everything have to be pretty in an unpretty world?"

Top 10 Twitter Tips

It is ironic that most of my friends think I am computer savvy because I blog. Nothing could be further from the truth. I think one of my strengths when it comes to computers is that I try to stay current and I play around and learn by trial and error. I still learning my way on Twitter and am always finding myself getting stuck. This little handy reference guide may prove useful.

Good Reading........Facts On Farts

In our home I often sit with my daughters and ask them if they learned anything new recently. They share with me all sorts of interesting and amazing tidbits of knowledge they have acquired. Lately they have been turning the table and posing this question to me and because of this I have made it my personal goal to file away some random amazing facts that I can share with them. Because of this article I learned some good ones.....

People even fart shortly after death.

Women fart just as much as men.

Fart producing foods are.....corn, bell peppers, califlower, raisins, cabbage, milk, bread, eggs, beer.

One doctor revealed that the effort it takes to refrain from farting may contribute to hemerrhoids.

Apparently it is normal for Dogs to like the smell of Human Farts.

Fish, Turtles and Horses Fart too.

The highest output of farts is by the termite.

Different words for Farts.

And who doesn't enjoy a good Fart rhyme like ....."Better to fart and bear the shame, Than hold the fart and bear the pain! "

Brookes 12th Birthday

Brooke Emily Rae turned 12 yesterday.
She requested to have one of her good friends join us for dinner and a sleepover. I asked her where she wanted to go for dinner and she chose.....The Keg Mansion in Toronto.
Garth nor I had ever been there but Brooke has. She went a few years ago with the family of another friend after they spent the day at the ROM.
I remember Brooke being quite impressed with this restaurant as she revealed, "It was the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been to Mommy and they make the best chicken strips and french fries anywhere."
Recently when I have been sharing that this is where Brooke has chosen to dine.....friends have mentioned that it must be because of the ghost stories and sightings. I mentioned this to Brooke and she was intrigued as she had no knowledge of this.
When we arrived at the restaurant the Hostesses and Manager became aware that it was Brooke's birthday and spent time sharing stories and the history of the building.
They seated us in the library close to the ghost friendly stairs.
Brooke was given the Ghost Log (a journal of documented sightings by customers and staff) to peruse through during the wait for her dinner.
Lucky for me it was Crab celebration at the Keg and we all enjoyed the feast and service. Our waitress who was named Jill went above and beyond making this a special celebration offering the 3 girls free individual veggie & cracker trays while they waited for their meal and a special piece of birthday cake for all of us to share.
It was a grand celebration that I think Brooke will remember always.

Song Of The Day: You Are So Beautiful By Joe Cocker

Beauty is sometimes in the eye of the beholder. That can be easily said of anyone who loves someone else. When you truly love someone, it dosen’t matter what he/she looks like. You are beautiful to the beholder. Joe said it best here in this fantastically soulful rendering of this song.

Another Gem From My Dad

Every so often my father will send along a link that I feel is worthy of sharing. This is one. This clip from the British Television show "Britain's Got Talent" has already had nearly 22 million hits on YouTube. Susan Boyle is a woman I was cheering for right from the start and when she soared past everyones expectations I felt tremendous joy. I so love that she does not even begin to understand what potential she has.

Great Casting

Soon there will be a new face in "Nip/Tuck". TV Guide reported that Melanie Griffith has been cast as Kimbers mother.....Brandie, the character which is described as "beautiful and considerate" and will visit her daughter from Wisconsin.

Heard In My House

This afternoon while sitting with my youngest daughter she asked, " Have you ever had lumpy dick?" I thought my hearing impairment was playing tricks on my ears as there is no way my daughter could know about my honeymoon and every night since......ha,ha,ha. I asked her to repeat what she said and sure enough she explained that it used to be a food that they ate during the Pioneer days. I remained skeptical and asked Brooke if she had heard about this during her studies on Pioneer times. Brooke responded with a negative and suggested I look it up on Google. Her exact response was "Look under images." I decided to go the safer route and my Alley was correct there is such a recipe for Lumpy Dick. Who knew?

Happy Birthday Brooke

As my eldest daughter turns 12 today I am reminded that she is somewhere in between little and big.

I have been thinking a lot about her as a baby lately. Remembering the sweet
plump little bundle of joy she was and how I loved to hold her, smell her and feed her.
I miss those days of innocence and simplicity.
Now I have a wise, strong willed, opinionated, yet very naive young woman under my wing.
And I have to teach her properly and let her take flight.
It is a big responsibility but together with her father, I look forward to the journey.

Brooke, I sincerely hope all your dreams will become realities. I hope I am here to see them all come true. Don’t be afraid to dream big, remember to laugh often, and love with passion.

I love you forever,

I like you for always,

As long as I’m living

My BABY you’ll be.

I love you

Mom
