I think I may have been the only one excited that they would be singing Neil Diamond tunes. I am a closet fan for Old Neil Diamond tunage. I was out at a bridal shower last evening and am just getting around to watching it. Live blogging begins now.

Jason Castro - Forever in Blue Jeans.........I felt this song fit his style but I found it just okay.

David Cook - I’m Alive...........Not great but not too shabby.

Brooke White - I’m a Believer..........Sometimes I don't like the way she changes the song.

David Archuleta - Sweet Caroline..........(Read in Dr. Seuss fashion) I would not, could not like this song. David Archuleta got one of my favorite tunes all wrong.

Syesha Mercado - Hello Again...............My favorite thus far.

My Final Thoughts On Big Brother

Chelsia and Joshuah are still the biggest bitches on TV. Thank god I don't have to listen to their nastiness anymore.

Why does the jury try to force the final two into saying they're going to do great things with the money. That is bullshit!!!! If you win, do whatever you want. This is not Oprahs show, The Big Give.

My Thoughts On Lost ( Spoilers )

Lost is back!!!!!!!

And we learn the biggest reveal yet..............Ben controls the smoke monster.

When Alex was shot I looked at my husband and he had the same facial expression as Ben.

During the game of RISK with Hurley and Sawyer, Hurley said...... “Dude, I can’t believe you’re giving him Australia. Australia is the key to the whole game.”

Towards the end of the episode when Ben and Widmore were chatting about the island it was like they were discussing the rules of a game........something like RISK.

I can't believe Claires house is blown to bits and she emerges without a fine and dandy.

Is Jack developing a drug addiction?

We learn that Benard understands Morse Code. I need to know more about this character and his backstory. Why does a dentist know Morse code?

This story would have made me feel better if I read that Grandma accidentally popped a cap in his delinquent ass.

My Thoughts On Big Brother

I couldn't believe that Sheila gave up some easy during the "up the creek" competition. She thought she was getting hypothermia and chose to fall into the little fake pond below the fake falls. She said she just can't risk getting sick and that she would win the second part of the competition. Need I remind you that the only comp she's won all season was given to her?

How come we didn't get to see Natalie enter the jury house? I wish we could get more footage of the jury house than of the Big brother house now.

The editing of this show is great they find a way to show us key moments that should not be missed like Adam/ Ryan wink as Sharon is evicted and when Adam is standing in front of the Memory Wall at the end and he makes a fake snort cry face like he is imitating Sheila.

Syesha Mercado - One Rock & Roll Too Many..........Best performance to date. She definately showed more of her playful personality and I liked it.

Jason Castro - Memory..............Painful. I felt for him. He was totally out of his element.

Brooke White - You Must Love Me............Ughhhhhhh! This is horribly painful tonight to watch.

David Archuleta - Think of Me...........He sounded pleasant....that doesn't mean I liked it tho.'

Carly Smithson - Jesus Christ Superstar............. It was okay.

David Cook - Music of the Night..............He can do no wrong. I liked it. It was a stretch for him and he did it justice.

50 Ways To Save The Planet

In celebration of Earth Day.

These are the ones my family subscribes to and endorses.

1. CHANGE YOUR LIGHT......We have replaced our outdoor fixtures, all lights in the living room and bathrooms to the new compact fluorescent bulbs.

2. TURN OFF COMPUTERS AT NIGHT.......I turn off my laptop nightly. I am afraid to turn off the main computer for fear that it will never start up again. It is in dire need of a tuneup/cleanup.

3. DO NOT PRE-HEAT THE OVEN........ I never do. I just pop my dish in whenever. I can always tell when something is cooked enough.

4. HANG DRY....... We have a clothesline and drying racks in our laundry room. We use our dryer minimally to fluff the clothes and help soften with a dryer sheet after being air dried.

5. WASH IN COLD OR WARM.

6. RECYCLE NEWSPAPER.........We recycle all paper.

7. BAN BATHTIME.....We are a bath free family. This was a hard one for me as bathtime was always one of my simplest pleasures.

8. BRUSH WITHOUT RUNNING......This is one we still need to work on but we are all getting better.

9. USE YOUR CRUISE CONTROL........I love my cruise control and have had to use it to help me with my lead foot problem.

10. SECOND-HAND DOESN'T MEAN SECOND-BEST.........Some of our best tresures are found at garage sales and consignment stores.

11. BUY LOCAL.........We try to do this as often as possible. We love supporting our local farms.

12. ADJUST YOUR THERMOSTAT........We have a programmable thermostat.

13. BATCH ERRANDS.........I have always done this but am even more vigilent now with the inflated gas prices.

14. TURN OFF LIGHTS.........This has been engraved into my thinking since I was wee. Oh no!!!!! I have become my parents........Aghhhhhhhhh (kidding)

15. PICNIC WITH A MARKER .............I do this always when we use disposable cups.

16. MAINTAIN YOUR VEHICLE.........Always and that is why my 1995 Corsica runs like a dream still. The mechanics at Garths work are always impressed. I never miss an oil change.

17. GIVE IT AWAY......We love passing our junk on. I'm not sure everyone is so happy to receive it when it is offered but they graciously accept. In the last 2 years I have gone through a major purge and have gotten rid of alot of stuff that benefitted others.

18. GO TO A CAR WASH.........Garth is big on this and believes why do the work yourself when we can get it done by a professional.

19. FLY WITH AN E-TICKET.........This is how I flew when I went to New York.

20. STOP YOUR ANSWERING MACHINE.........I have used voicemail forever. I would really like to give that up too and the phone while I am at it..........just kidding(not really)

21. USE COTTON SWABS WITH A PAPERBOARD SPINDLE.........These are the only kind I use.

22. PAY BILLS ONLINE........Have been doing this for years. I like to know that I can pay my bills wearing my pajamas or nothing at all in the comfort of my own home.

23. STOP PAPER BANK STATEMENTS........I no longer get paper bank statements as I have access to all transactions and account history online.

24. USE RECHARGABLE BATTERIES.......My friend, Sweet Jimmy is picking me up one from Costco on his next trip to the store I despise.

25. SHARE........Take what you've learned, and pass the knowledge on to others.

Learning To Find Balance

The last week has been a blur.

I have been enjoying long and leisurely lunches with friends, recruiting friends to help set up the new gazebo, attending my first bookclub meeting, receiving spontanous visits from friends and neighbours and planning and hosting a sleepover weekend with 4 little girls. It has been fun and filled me up. Unfortunately with all the hustle and bustle I have neglected my housework, my daily jaunts to the gym, my nasal and sinus treatments, my afternoon moments of meditation, my blogging, my emails and voice mail messages.

By Sunday evening I was feeling it. I was beginning to feel tired and worn.

I am looking forward to getting back on track to finding a healthy balance of much needed quietude and tranquility mixed with spurts of playful fun with family and friends.

It has been a fun but full day and I am tired. I am going up to bed........lets hope they are all asleep.
