Trailer: Hereafter

Clint Eastwood’s latest film is a bit of departure for him as a director. Hereafter, a supernatural thriller, follows three people and the impact of death on their lives. The script was penned by Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon). Matt Damon plays a retired psychic named George who has the ability to commune with the dead. Marie (played by Cecile de France) is a French journalist who is shaken after a near death experience in a tsunami. A third storyline follows Marcus (George McLaren), a schoolboy in London looking for answers after losing his twin brother. It is due out in theaters on October 22, 2010.

The Terry Fox Run

In May 2007 I was diagnosed with Sinus Cancer and was treated for same at Princess Margret Hospital in Toronto. I am happy to say that at each of my check ups thus far, the Cancer cells all seem to be eradicated.

On Sunday, September 19th at Memorial Park in Bowmanville, I will be participating in the Terry Fox Marathon.

This is not my first Terry Fox Run But it is my first since I have gotten ill with Cancer myself.
This September I am running for the countless other people of Canada who were or are not as lucky as me.

My team,” The Crickets,” is a combination of my husband and my two daughters, friends and neighbors all coming together for a great cause.

I'm aiming to raise $1000 for The Terry Fox Foundation. I'm really going to need your help.
Donate to my run. They'll email you a tax receipt in PDF. It's easy, secure and for a good cause.

Funniest Thing I Have Read In A Long Time

This is one of the best blogs I have seen in a long time.....this post is Brilliant. Will become a daily read.

Question Of The Day Results

As mentioned previously, I am new to the world of texting and have been getting some practice by shooting out a question of the day to some of my contacts and let me tell you I have learned that I am bloody slow at manipulating my teeny tiny keyboard......Holy freakin fumble fingers.
The texts are flying in faster than I can reply.
With all that being said I am having a blast reading all their reveals.
Today was a question of values and I was not too surprised by the results.

The question was: If you had to choose.....would you rather (a) be 50 lbs overweight your whole life but have true friends, or (b) always have an amazing body but never have real friends.

100% answered (a)

So in the end none of my friends or family that replied are celebrites but in the end they are all SuperStars to me.

Songs I Currently Like

As I continue to practice my texting on my new cell phone, I have been sending out "questions of the day" to some of my contacts. I love reading their answers. They are so varied. What a mixed bag of friends and family I have. Here were some of the replies I received back to the question.....What is your favorite song of the moment?

Linkin' Park · The Catalyst, Eminem ft. Rihanna - Love the way you lie, Shakira -
Waka Waka ( I personally adore this song and cannot sit still when it is on), The Trews - Fleeting Trust, Paramore - The Only Exception, Ricky J - Whatta night, Lights - Second go, Usher - DJ got us falling in love again, Civil Twilight · Letters from the Sky

Now it is my turn to share with you my current faves.

1.) I heart NY by Samuel...Born and raised in downtown Manhattan, Samuel was surrounded by musical influences from an early age; his mother, Linda Langford, was one-half of seventies feminist folk group, Jade and Sarsaparilla and long time co-worker and friend of I.R.S owner Ian Copeland. Samuel’s father is the former owner of an avant-garde dance studio in Santa Fe and was a student of experimental composer, John Cage. His grandfather, Manny Albam, was a noted jazz arranger and friend of Dizzy Gillespie.

2.) Crossfire By Brandon Flowers.......Brandon Richard Flowers is best known as the frontman, vocalist, and keyboardist of the rock band The Killers. He announced his solo career on April 29, 2010 on The Killers official website. Here is the first single from his debut solo album

3.) Amongst the Waves by Pearl Jam.......the third single from the band's ninth studio album, Backspacer.

4.) Lay Me Down by Dirty Heads......I love the ska/reggae sound.

5.) Little Lion Man By Mumford & Sons......About the song Marcus Mumford has said:
It’s a very personal story, so I won’t elaborate upon too much. Suffice to say, it was a situation in my life I wasn’t very happy with or proud of… and sometimes when you can’t describe a feeling with your own words, it’s almost easier to express in a song. And then, when you get asked about the songs, it’s quite difficult to explain. It’s a conundrum — you don’t want to seem self-indulgent explaining yourself; it’s always awkward. Which is weird again, because it’s never awkward actually singing them. I suppose the song should stand on its own and people draw their own interpretation from the words. But for me, personally, it’s the lyrics that I listen to again and again in a song. I place specific importance on them. I can’t write lyrics unless I really feel them and mean them, which can sometimes be quite frustrating — because if you’re not feeling much at the time, you’re stuck. “I guess the sound of it grabs you a little bit by the balls — it’s quite an aggressive song, a bit more of a punch in the face. Or at least, for our stuff, anyway — a lot of our stuff isn’t quite as hard-hitting as that. It felt like the right song to be the single because it represented the harder, darker side of what we do, and at the same time, the more folksy and punchy side.”

6.) A shout out to one of the funniest videos I have seen.
