Jungle Cat World

Last week Uncle Jimmy phoned and invited the family to join his clan as they ventured off to Jungle Cat World. I have never been before and it is only a hop, skip and a jump away from where we reside. The day was quite the adventure that you can read about here,
here,
and here.

Dog Face

This is extemely weird but clever.

Flood

A few weeks ago during one of our torrential rainfalls the creek that lays at the top of our our subdivision flooded and the spill off ran down our street. It reminded me of the days when I lived in Maracaibo and after their high volume rainfalls you would often see kids floating down the streets on rafts and such.

Toronto

Over the weekend Garth and I took the girls into the city for an overnight. We stayed at the Sheraton Centre on Queen Street West and had a great view of Nathans Phillip Square, City Hall and other places of interest. We shopped, and shopped, swam, and dined to out hearts content. Garth was very excited to see that Pottery Barn Kids is selling Star Wars Linen and he pointed out that they even come in Queen. This might be a good birthday idea.

My father just sent me this news. I adore Morgan Freeman and admire all of his work. I wish him a speedy and full recovery.

Christina Aguilera & Macys

Renowned Rolling Stone photographer Mark Seliger
shot theis photo of Christina Aguilera. US department store Macy’s, is celebrating 150 years of retailing this October and Christina was among the celebrities marking the occasion with commemorative photographs.
Christina looked stunning in a large burgundy skirt with fern leaf and net detail, a cream bodice and tousled hair against a wall of roses.

My Thoughts On Big Brother

As tonights episode began it was a continuation of the battle of endurance. I can't believe this competition for HoH took up half of tonights show.
Jessie continued to command attention and invited everyone who was sweating to put their hands in the air. He then goes on to comment on the pressure on their biceps. My God this guy is a clown.
This competition seems to take a strain on Libras brain as she becomes disorientated and asks, "Where am I?"
Then Dan goes all philosophical and says, that this is the "human struggle for existance."
Libra and Dan both bail and jump out of the competition.
Oxygen is quickly restored to Libras brain and she surmises that Dan threw the competition. He was a tad obvious.
I laughed when Renny was suggesting to Jessie that he doesn't want to hurt those muscles by hanging on any longer than he can. Jessie does drop out tries to save face by telling the diary room that the competition was bogus.
Dan delivers cheesy motivational speeches to the last 3 standing and theme music is played to enhance the cheeseiness.
Michelle and April cut a deal and HoH goes to April.
More emotional, beautiful bonding occurs as both ladies lay on the air mattress while their men retrive them and sing their praises........"God love ya, baby,"....."Good job," ......."Thank you so much."

April wins HoH and now will have pictures of her family near her as she has sex with Ollie in her private bedroom.
I do have to comment that I could not believe how purple and black Michelles hands looked after the competition.
Libra seems to sleep alot. She is always in bed when people approach her to talk.
I loved the scene when Dan was correcting Michelle on her pronouciaton of the word, water.
I am so happy that April nominated Jessie as I still want him out but I thought she wimped out when she told Memphis that the reason that he was nominated was because he won the car.
The Americas Player thing is stupid. If viewers are going to make suggestions on what they want Dan to do......I want it to be good entertainment......No hugging allowed. How @#$%& lame is that! I think we should make him have to hug Julie Chen for 10 seconds.
I want to see him have to throw someone in the pool or tell Memphis you are not a mixologist you are a bar tender.

Mouth Monster

The littlest things amuse me.

Here is a list of the most annoying songs of all time (with video). I have to say it is fairly accurate.

On February 14, 1962, Mrs. Kennedy took American television viewers on a tour of the White House with Charles Collingwood of CBS. In the tour she said, "I just feel that everything in the White House should be the best, the entertainment that's given here. If it's an American company you can help, I like to do that. If not, just as long as it's the best."
Working with Rachel Lambert Mellon, Mrs. Kennedy oversaw redesign and replanting of the White House Rose Garden and the East Garden, which was renamed the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden after her husband's assassination. Jacqueline Kennedy's efforts on behalf of restoration and preservation at the White House left a lasting legacy in the form of the White House Historical Association, the Committee for the Preservation of the White House which was based upon her White House Furnishings Committee, a permanent Curator of the White House, the White House Endowment Trust, and the White House Acquisition Trust. Save Mister Rogers' Neighborhood

A campaign has been started here to try to bring back Mister Rogers' Neighborhood into daily syndication. It was started by a young father who wants his kids to grow up with the man who taught him about human kindness and comfortable sweaters.
There is also a Facebook group that has started as well.

Rock 'N' Roll High School Remake

Howard Stern is remaking the Ramones' Rock 'n' Roll High School. We might get a remake of Porkys as well.
I wonder who will be the featured band in this Rock 'n' Roll High School remake. I'm a tremendous Ramones fan, and have a difficult time picturing any band replacing them.
