Deal Of The Day: Free Buttons From NBC
NBC is giving away buttons for fans to show their Emmy support. I ordered mine and they accepted my Canadian address. We will wait and see.
Song Of The Day: Pour Some Sugar On Me By Emm Gryner
Toronto Mike turned me on to this artist the other day and I can't stop listening to her. "Girl Versions" is an album of cover songs. I love her female interpretation of male lyrics and when you listen to her musical interpretations of the songs, you'll feel like you're listening to the song for the very first time. It is wonderful and I've never been so excited about an artist before.

My Thoughts On Lost (Spoilers)
Great Finale!!!!!
Okay here is some food for thought John Locke becomes Jeremy Bentham..........hmmmmmm.
Walt sure has grown up. I wasn't even sure it was the same kid but Garth assures me it is.
How the heck did Locke get off the island and what caused his fate at the end of the finale?
When Ben says that they "all" have to go back...does he mean Desmond & Frank too as well as Walt?
Sun's screams in the helicopter were heartbreaking.
I cried when Desmond saw Penny.
I was actually yelling at my TV, cheering for Sayid during his fight scene with Keamy.
Man I was an emotional wreck last night.
I've no doubt Desmond and Jack will "see each other in another life brotha."
I wonder what's going to happen with Daniel and the people from the island who were in the little boat enroute to the ship.
The scene with Mr. Eko playing chess and Claire in Aarons room freaked me out.....and what the hell happened to her accent?
Charlotte was born on the island. Tell me who were her parents?
I laughed when sawyer referred to the Frank as Kenny Rogers.
So, who's left on the island? Here is my count of people we actually care about.........Richard & the others, Locke ( Maybe), Miles, Charlotte, Juliet, Sawyer, Rose and Bernard.
What did Sawyer whisper to Kate in the helicopter?
OMG!!!!!No more Lost until 2009.

NSFW....But I Had To Share
My Dad sent me this link and as I sat watching it I found Larry ( AKA the Bam guy) very endearing. He brought a smile to my face. Towards the end........not so much. Okay thats a lie, I still find him winsome.

Best Buy Return Policy
My friend Jenn just sent me this E-mail. Not sure if this applies to US or Canada or both....interesting none the less. Checked it out on snopes and it is true.
Not sure that I will ever shop their again, seems pretty ridiculous.

RIP: Harvey Korman
The Emmy-winning star was a veteran of "The Carol Burnett Show" and one of my film favorites, "Blazing Saddles." Korman was 81.
I'm So Excited!!!
Tonight is the Lost finale......2 hours of sweet TV bliss. I am like Pavlovs dog. Just the thought and I am salivating. Good God I hope it lives up to my expectations. Please, please answer at least a few of my questions.
Just to help you get excited and pumped here are a few links to set the mood.
Link Of The Day: Tag Galaxy
Warning..........This is the most addictive link ever.
Tag galaxy takes all photos in Flickr and maps them into planets.
When you type in a random tag such as CN Tower for example you'll see a "galaxy" representing every photo for that tag. It then sorts the tags into planets/subcategories and allows you to enlarge the photos, read captions and head to the person's Flickr page.
I can't stop.

Guns & Gas
A Missouri car dealer said on Thursday sales have soared at his auto and truck business since launching a promotion this week that promises buyers a free handgun or a $250 (126 pound) gas card with every purchase.
This Is Sooooooooo Wrong
I am actually feeling nauseous after watching this video about Extraordinary Breastfeeding, a documentary that aired in England a few years ago and focused on the country's discomfort with breastfeeding. One woman in the documentary, Veronica, believes that children should decide for themselves when they want to stop. Her daughter is about to turn eight, still breastfeeds, and has absolutely no plans of stopping.

Link Of The Day: Wants For Sale
This is a interesting website with a unique concept. Two artists think of something they want. Then they paint it and sell it for the amount the item would cost. If it sells, they post a photo of the actual item online.
So far, Wants For Sale has sold paintings of a Wii, Buffalo Wings, one months rent and lots of other stuff.

David Cook On The Tonight Show
My Dad just sent me this clip and he commented that he thought David came across as quite a mature fellow. I have to agree. Could he be any more likable? I also watched him on Larry King on Friday night and was equally impressed by his presentatation that evening.
Julia Roberts Has A Very Large Jaw
Anagrams Are A Great Art
I love playing scrabble and I often engage in on online game of Boggle with my friend Mike. I like using my brain to figure out word patterns and sequences. I have delusions that I am more brilliant and clever than I actually am and am slowly coming to terms with the fact that Mike beats me at every game. I stopped by his house the other day and he actually alluded to the fact that on the rare occasion that I win it is because he lets me. If I think my friend Mike is a challenge, can you imagine playing against this guy.
Sunshine State
I've recently stumbled upon this Toronto band called Sunshine State. They sing songs with surprisingly smart lyrics. I really like "Drug Dealer A Love Story" which details how a girl falls for a man with a mysterious late-night job.

Indana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
We went to the opening night of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Steven Spielberg and George Lucas have said they made this film for themselves, not for the fans. Lucas himself said in an interview that many fans are going to be disappointed because they hold the series up on a pedestal and nothing could live up to everybody's vision of what it should be, so he plans on making a film that he, Spielberg, and Ford enjoy and he hopes the fans will come along for the ride.
Personally, I enjoyed it.
I saw that they were focusing on a different genre ..........1950s sci-fi instead of 1930s and I accepted this. There are some definite flaws but the spirit is spot on and I got charged up watching Garth enjoy this nostalgic ride. He actually looks younger to me when I watch him watch these beloved movies of his youth. I also thought Cate Blanchett was a great villan.
Keeping in the spirit of the fun, here are 20 fun facts about Indiana Jones

The Doritos Quest
This month Doritos kicked off a new viral game with unmarked "mystery flavor" bags of chips. To start the quest, you can either buy a bag of Doritos and do a taste test or go here and guess the flavor. (They give lots of hints, so it's not so hard.)
The first clue unlocks the game, and one grand-prize winner receives $100,000.

American Idol Live Blogging........continues
David Cook - The World I Know.............I love this Collective Soul tune and he sang this well. I am glad he is not shortchanging us and singing a song that he has already sung.
David Archuleta - Imagine............Little David goes the safe route and sings a fan favorite. I am sick bored of him and his ballads.
I am also sick of the judges pimping Little David.
See ya' tomorrow.

Songwriters Choice:
David Cook - Dream Big................Great job. He was able to show off his pipes. Beautiful!!!
David Archuleta - In This Moment........Yawn!!! The screaming from the audience drowned his prepubescent vocals.
Simon is trying very hard to steer the win to David Archuleta. This is the very reason I am beginning to despise this show.
