The Daring Book For Girls

A short while ago I made mention of this book and how I thought it sounded like a great idea for anyone who are raising sons. My parents raised three sons and the number of grandsons outnumber the grandaughters. This book would come in handy in a male dominated home. I am now happy to see this book has been released. As a mother of two daughters, age 10 and 7. I will be purchasing this book.

Books I remember loving as a child:

I have fond memories of Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary. My Blume favorites were the Superfudge series, Are You there God it's me Margaret, and Tales of the 4th Grade Nothing. My Cleary favorites were the Ramona Quinby books.

Other childhood favorites included...Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery, The 'Little House' books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Mr Poppers Penquins, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
The first children's book I remember changing my life: Where the Red Fern Grows. By the end, when I learned the fate of Big Dan and Little Ann, I was in tears. It was the first story I remember really connecting with.
