Books I remember loving as a child:

I have fond memories of Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary. My Blume favorites were the Superfudge series, Are You there God it's me Margaret, and Tales of the 4th Grade Nothing. My Cleary favorites were the Ramona Quinby books.

Other childhood favorites included...Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery, The 'Little House' books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Mr Poppers Penquins, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
The first children's book I remember changing my life: Where the Red Fern Grows. By the end, when I learned the fate of Big Dan and Little Ann, I was in tears. It was the first story I remember really connecting with.

The host of the show is Dominic Bowden who is the host on New Zealand Idol. Bowden will be joined with a panel of judges: Ian "Dicko" Dickson from Australian Idol, John Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls, and Sheila E.
