Clint Eastwood’s latest film is a bit of departure for him as a director. Hereafter, a supernatural thriller, follows three people and the impact of death on their lives. The script was penned by Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon). Matt Damon plays a retired psychic named George who has the ability to commune with the dead. Marie (played by Cecile de France) is a French journalist who is shaken after a near death experience in a tsunami. A third storyline follows Marcus (George McLaren), a schoolboy in London looking for answers after losing his twin brother. It is due out in theaters on October 22, 2010.

Cool Cover:Umbrella By The Baseballs

The Baseballs are a rock and roll band founded in Berlin in 2007. They became popular with Rockabilly cover versions of modern hits such as "Umbrella" by Rihanna and "Hot n Cold" by Katy Perry. This Elvis like version really has to be heard to be believed.

Their music and energy make me just so dang happy. I love this quirky song so much that I am posting a live version and the fun video.

The Terry Fox Run
In May 2007 I was diagnosed with Sinus Cancer and was treated for same at Princess Margret Hospital in Toronto. I am happy to say that at each of my check ups thus far, the Cancer cells all seem to be eradicated.
On Sunday, September 19th at Memorial Park in Bowmanville, I will be participating in the Terry Fox Marathon.
This is not my first Terry Fox Run But it is my first since I have gotten ill with Cancer myself.
This September I am running for the countless other people of Canada who were or are not as lucky as me.
My team,” The Crickets,” is a combination of my husband and my two daughters, friends and neighbors all coming together for a great cause.
I'm aiming to raise $1000 for The Terry Fox Foundation. I'm really going to need your help.
Donate to my run. They'll email you a tax receipt in PDF. It's easy, secure and for a good cause.
Funniest Thing I Have Read In A Long Time

This is one of the best blogs I have seen in a long time.....this post is Brilliant. Will become a daily read.
Question Of The Day Results
As mentioned previously, I am new to the world of texting and have been getting some practice by shooting out a question of the day to some of my contacts and let me tell you I have learned that I am bloody slow at manipulating my teeny tiny keyboard......Holy freakin fumble fingers. The texts are flying in faster than I can reply.
With all that being said I am having a blast reading all their reveals.
Today was a question of values and I was not too surprised by the results.
The question was: If you had to choose.....would you rather (a) be 50 lbs overweight your whole life but have true friends, or (b) always have an amazing body but never have real friends.
100% answered (a)
So in the end none of my friends or family that replied are celebrites but in the end they are all SuperStars to me.

Songs I Currently Like
As I continue to practice my texting on my new cell phone, I have been sending out "questions of the day" to some of my contacts. I love reading their answers. They are so varied. What a mixed bag of friends and family I have. Here were some of the replies I received back to the question.....What is your favorite song of the moment?
Linkin' Park · The Catalyst, Eminem ft. Rihanna - Love the way you lie, Shakira -Waka Waka ( I personally adore this song and cannot sit still when it is on), The Trews - Fleeting Trust, Paramore - The Only Exception, Ricky J - Whatta night, Lights - Second go, Usher - DJ got us falling in love again, Civil Twilight · Letters from the Sky
Now it is my turn to share with you my current faves.
1.) I heart NY by Samuel...Born and raised in downtown Manhattan, Samuel was surrounded by musical influences from an early age; his mother, Linda Langford, was one-half of seventies feminist folk group, Jade and Sarsaparilla and long time co-worker and friend of I.R.S owner Ian Copeland. Samuel’s father is the former owner of an avant-garde dance studio in Santa Fe and was a student of experimental composer, John Cage. His grandfather, Manny Albam, was a noted jazz arranger and friend of Dizzy Gillespie.
2.) Crossfire By Brandon Flowers.......Brandon Richard Flowers is best known as the frontman, vocalist, and keyboardist of the rock band The Killers. He announced his solo career on April 29, 2010 on The Killers official website. Here is the first single from his debut solo album
3.) Amongst the Waves by Pearl Jam.......the third single from the band's ninth studio album, Backspacer.
4.) Lay Me Down by Dirty Heads......I love the ska/reggae sound.
5.) Little Lion Man By Mumford & Sons......About the song Marcus Mumford has said:
It’s a very personal story, so I won’t elaborate upon too much. Suffice to say, it was a situation in my life I wasn’t very happy with or proud of… and sometimes when you can’t describe a feeling with your own words, it’s almost easier to express in a song. And then, when you get asked about the songs, it’s quite difficult to explain. It’s a conundrum — you don’t want to seem self-indulgent explaining yourself; it’s always awkward. Which is weird again, because it’s never awkward actually singing them. I suppose the song should stand on its own and people draw their own interpretation from the words. But for me, personally, it’s the lyrics that I listen to again and again in a song. I place specific importance on them. I can’t write lyrics unless I really feel them and mean them, which can sometimes be quite frustrating — because if you’re not feeling much at the time, you’re stuck. “I guess the sound of it grabs you a little bit by the balls — it’s quite an aggressive song, a bit more of a punch in the face. Or at least, for our stuff, anyway — a lot of our stuff isn’t quite as hard-hitting as that. It felt like the right song to be the single because it represented the harder, darker side of what we do, and at the same time, the more folksy and punchy side.”

How Smart Is Your Right Foot
Things like this frustrate yet intrigue me...........You have to try this.
It will boggle your mind and it will keep you trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It's pre-programmed in your brain!
1) While sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
2). Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand.
Your foot will change direction.
And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so.
Pass this on to your friends to frustrate them too.

More E-Mail Clean Up
1.) With summer produce in full swing, there's an abundance of fresh, gorgeous fruits and veggies to cook with. You won't want to miss these recipes featuring corn & tomatoes and zucchini.
2.) My friend Doug sent me this video of this quick change cartoon comedian. He does impressions of stars and singers using these paper costumes that transform from one person into another.
3.) My brother-in-law introduced me to Kulula. Kulula is a low-cost South-African airline that doesn't take itself too seriously. What a pity they don't fly internationally.
Their Head office is situated in Johannesburg. Kulula airline attendants make an effort to make the in-flight "safety lecture" and announcements a bit more entertaining. Here are some real examples that have been heard or reported:
- On a Kulula flight, (there is no assigned seating, you just sit where you want) passengers were apparently having a hard time choosing, when a flight attendant announced, "People, people we're not picking out furniture here, find a seat and get in it!"
- On another flight with a very "senior" flight attendant crew, the pilot said, "Ladies and gentlemen, we've reached cruising altitude and will be turning down the cabin lights. This is for your comfort and to enhance the appearance of your flight attendants."
- On landing, the stewardess said, "Please be sure to take all of your belongings.. If you're going to leave anything, please make sure it's something we'd like to have."
- "There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane."
- "Thank you for flying Kulula. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business
as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride."
- As the plane landed and was coming to a stop at Durban Airport , a lone voice came over the loudspeaker: "Whoa, big fella. WHOA!"
- After a particularly rough landing during thunderstorms in the Karoo , a flight attendant on a flight announced, "Please take care when opening the overhead compartments because, after a landing like that, sure as hell everything has shifted."
- From a Kulula employee: " Welcome aboard Kulula 271 to Port Elizabeth . To operate your seat belt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seat belt; and if you don't know how to operate one, you probably shouldn't be out in public unsupervised."
- "In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face. If you have a small child travelling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are travelling with more than one small child, pick your favourite."
- Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, but we'll try to have them fixed before we arrive. Thank you, and remember, nobody loves you, or your money, more than Kulula Airlines."
- "Your seats cushions can be used for flotation; and in the event of an emergency water landing, please paddle to shore and take them with our compliments."
- "As you exit the plane, make sure to gather all of your belongings. Anything left behind will be distributed evenly among the flight attendants. Please do not leave children or spouses.."
- And from the pilot during his welcome message: "Kulula Airlines is pleased to announce that we have some of the best flight attendants in the industry. Unfortunately, none of them are on this flight!"
- Heard on Kulula 255 just after a very hard landing in Cape Town : The flight attendant came on the intercom and said, "That was quite a bump and I know what y'all are thinking. I'm here to tell you it wasn't the airline's fault, it wasn't the pilot's fault, it wasn't the flight attendant's fault, it was the asphalt."
- Overheard on a Kulula flight into Cape Town , on a particularly windy and bumpy day: During the final approach, the Captain really had to fight it. After an extremely hard landing, the Flight Attendant said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to The Mother City. Please remain in your seats with your seat belts fastened while the Captain taxis what's left of our airplane to the gate!"
- Another flight attendant's comment on a less than perfect landing: "We ask you to please remain seated as Captain Kangaroo bounces us to the terminal."
- An airline pilot wrote that on this particular flight he had hammered his ship into the runway really hard. The airline had a policy which required the first officer to stand at the door while the passengers exited, smile, and give them a "Thanks for flying our airline. He said that, in light of his bad landing, he had a hard time looking the passengers in the eye, thinking that someone would have a smart comment.
Finally everyone had gotten off except for a little old lady walking with a cane. She said, "Sir, do you mind if I ask you a question?" "Why, no Ma'am," said the pilot. "What is it?" The little old lady said, "Did we land, or were we shot down?"
- After a real crusher of a landing in Johannesburg , the attendant came on with, "Ladies and Gentlemen, please remain in your seats until Captain Crash and the Crew have brought the aircraft to a screeching halt against the gate. And, once the tire smoke has cleared and the warning bells are silenced, we will open the door and you can pick your way through the wreckage to the terminal.."
- Part of a flight attendant's arrival announcement: "We'd like to thank you folks for flying with us today.. And, the next time you get the insane urge to go blasting through the skies in a pressurized metal tube, we hope you'll think of Kulula Airways."
- Heard on a Kulula flight. "Ladies and gentlemen, if you wish to smoke, the smoking section on this airplane is on the wing.. If you can light 'em, you can smoke 'em."
- A plane was taking off from Durban Airport . After it reached a comfortable cruising altitude, the captain made an announcement over the intercom, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Welcome to Flight Number 293, non-stop from Durban to Cape Town , The weather ahead is good and, therefore, we should have a smooth and uneventful flight.. Now sit back and relax... OH, MY GOODNESS!" Silence followed, and after a few minutes, the captain came back on the intercom and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I am so sorry if I scared you earlier. While I was talking to you, the flight attendant accidentally spilled a cup of hot coffee in my lap. You should see the front of my pants!"
A passenger then yelled, "That's nothing. You should see the back of mine!"

Cleaning My Email Account....The First Ten

I have been neglecting my Emails and tend to skim over them very quckly to deals with the ones of immediate need and save the others for my enjoyment later. However, later never seems to come. Today I am on a mission to clean and share things I find in my mailbox that are amusing or useful or picque my interest. By doing this I will share with you the type of things that arrive in my mailbox that I don't delete.
1.) Kraft Recipes.......I love this webssite and their seasonal magazine
2.) Travelzoo......works with over 900 travel companies to find deals and deliver them to subscribers via its newsletters and its websites.
3.) From my Dear Brother-In-Law......A butterfly just for you.
4.) The Source $10,000 Cash Giveaway Contest.....I never win these things.
5.) Aerie......My favorite undergarment store has a good sale on and their tanktops are my favorite.....Buy 1/ get 1 50% off.
6.) Kitchen stuff plus.......Pick one item and pay $10.00........I would go for the apothocary set or the mandolin slicer but I won't because I need them both like I need a hole in my head.
7.) This book sounds interesting........Holy shit......I will be guarded now when conversing with someone for the first time (two people meeting for the first time will lie to each other an average of three times in the first 10 minutes).
8.) I learned my airmiles balance is .......2,053......what should I do with them? Any suggestions?
9.) Recipe Newsletter from here. I have a folder that I store them in to peruse later and like I said earlier.......later never comes. I have such grand intentions.
10.) A very important message about Gonorrhea or something like it from my friend Paul.
Information about Gonorrhea Lectim
The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulentstrain of this old disease. The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim. It'spronounced "Gonna re-elect 'em," and it is a terrible disease.
The disease is contracted through dangerous and high risk behavior involving putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims contracted it in 2008 when they re-elected Dalton McGunity's Liberals in Ontario and are now starting to realize how destructive this sickness is.
It's sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just coming on the market called Votemout. You take the first dose in 2012 and don't engage in such behavior again; otherwise, it could become permanent and eventually wipe out all life as we know it in Ontario
Please pass this important message on to all those bright folk you really care about.

Lets Share Secrets
Today, I thought I’d do the same thing: share some silly things that I don’t normally share. My one condition? You MUST do the same in the comments. Deal? Deal.
I usually screen all my phone calls, unless it’s work, my family or someone I know I want to talk to. I know, I’m awful
When I talk to someone who doesn’t “get” blogging and I mention something that a fellow blogger has done, or something I’ve read on a blog, I just say, “My friend…” It’s easier.
This video makes me cry....
I do not know how to text or do anything on a cellphone except for dial the number and place the call.
I check out the footwear of the ladies in bathroom stalls next to me.
I match my underwear and bra to my outfit.
I like to sit in my car by myself and listen to audiobooks
Every time I sneeze while I am driving in the car I am afraid I may hit someone.
